International Cooperation
The Department of International Cooperation is responsible for:
1. bi-lateral and regional cooperation in the field of physical
culture and sport including: initiating cooperation and preparing
bilateral agreements, negotiating the agreements, coordinating the
implementation of the agreements, cooperation with Embassies
2. cooperation with governmental and non-governmental organizations
active in the field of sport and physical culture (UN, WHO, TAFISA,
WADA, ISCA, EWS, etc.)
3. cooperation with international sports federations, IOC and EOC
4. cooperation with Polish people abroad in the field of sport and physical culture
5. coordinating the organization of large sporting events in Poland
6. supporting Polish representatives in the authorities of
international sports federations and organizations active in the field
of sport and physical culture
7. organizing conferences and seminars to promote knowledge about sport systems in other countries
8. fulfilling the responsibilities resulting from Poland’s accession to the EU in the field of sport and physical culture
9. coordination of EU documents on sport and physical culture circulation
10. coordination of the preparation of Poland’s policy on sport and physical culture at the EU’s fora
11. Coordination of the implementation of the EU’s Rolling agenda on sport and physical culture
12. participating in the works of Council of Europe’s bodies dealing
with sport related issues, implementation of their decisions
